Education:

Education is part of human growth and development. It is a long process and it begins at the womb and ends in the tomb. College Education is a part of that long process. College education usually begins during the adolescent years a person. This is the age of storm at the personal and social level. One is not sure of oneself at this age. It is the responsibility of the state to ensure guidance and help to the young to cope up with their condition through guidance and counseling. Career guidance must be a must for the growing, so that they make right choices in life. As colleges offer any number of courses one must be equipped with enough information and tools to sort them out and make the right choice and to find scholarships and sponsors to support their education.

College Education and Guidance:

A collegian, being a teenager, is curious and sharp. S/he is more equipped with receiving information from multiple sources than with the ability to discern. At times s/he is found sinking in the flood of information available before him/her. Since the internet, news paper, TV, radio and peers, and all of them tend to drown the youth with loads of materials, it is not possible for the teenager to make a decision regarding the course s/he wants to choose. By the guidance of parents, peers or career counselors one can make the right choice. It is not over with that. It is important to choose the right combination of courses that will prove to be useful for a successful career. One more thing that is important for the student hailing from a middle class family is to locate a college or institution that offers scholarships and help find sponsors to fund their education. So the teenager must be farsighted, and having the capacity of handling the multiple inputs and processing them. After finding the right course, combination, and financial aids, the student must be accompanied to complete the courses successfully and fulfill the conditions laid by the sponsors.

College Education and Achievement:

The age of storm is also the age of achievement. The bodily changes and growth process that are triggered by the hormones tend to mar the clear vision of the youth. The most successful nations also house the most frustrated and misguided youth. The energy that is not rightly oriented will find their own misguided targets and destroy society. They must be rightly guided to achieve the right goals of life. College education is a short term goal within the long term goal that has to be chosen for life. Without that long term goal it is impossible to achieve the short term goal that is the college education. The educational goals set by the college must be consistently completed along with the supporting projects. Along with academic achievements it is important to develop the overall personality that will go a long way in becoming a fully actualized person in life.
